EGKH – Bushcraft Cleaver

This exceptionally wide-bladed, cleaver-like short sword is built to handle heavy bushcraft and camp duties, but it serves just as well for the backyard cutting enthusiast who wants to deliver very powerful cuts, chops and hacks to their targets. In a pinch it serves as a rather imposing tool of self defense out in the wild. The thick spined 14.5 inch blade is capable of splitting and cleaving through the heaviest of targets and is forged from tempered 5160 high carbon steel with a hollow ground blade geometry to reduce weight whilst keeping its thick spine to give it mass to power through heavy strikes. The blade was left rough-polished to keep a rustic appearance and a moderate amount of rust resistance. This short sword has a full tang construction to make it as robust and durably constructed as possible. Two grip scales of polished wood are durably riveted into the blade tang. The sword is matched with a wood core scabbard which is wrapped in stitched leather and finished with a retaining belt loop.
